Samruk-Energy green assets are capturing attention at the Astana International Forum.
The Astana International Forum, held in Astana on June 8-9, is witnessing active participation from “Samruk-Energy” JSC, which is a part of “Samruk-Kazyna” Sovereign Wealth Fund's portfolio companies. At the Astana International Forum, “Samruk-Energy” JSC is highlighting noteworthy assets such as the Moynak HPP, Kapshagay HPP, Shardarinsk HPP, along with “First Wind Power Plant” LLP (WPP), “Energia Semirechia” LLP (WPP), “Samruk-Green Energy” LLP (SPP, WPP) others.
“Samruk-Energy” JSC is proud of its accomplishments in green energy production. In 2022, these renewable energy facilities generated a total of 417.5 mln. kWh, surpassing the previous year's results by 28.3% (325.3mln. kWh).
Significantly, “Samruk-Energy” JSC holds a substantial market share in Kazakhstan's clean electricity sector. In 2022, the company's share accounted for 8.3% of the country's total renewable energy generation, confirming its leading role in the development of green energy and its commitment to reducing the carbon footprint and ensuring environmental sustainability in Kazakhstan.

Coronavirus emergency state coincided with the final phase of the heating season and commencement of repair works at thermal and electric plants of the republic. Not a single case of accidents and shutdowns of strategic facilities that provide cities and rural settlements with essential services had taken place only thanks to a high level of expertise, strenuous efforts and mutual help of power engineers.

On June 7 and 8, 2019, Nur-Sultan hosted the first Republican inter-industry workers ' sports Contest. The sports event brought together 12 national teams, whose representatives participated in competitions in six sports: chess, togyz kumalak, arm wrestling, table tennis, mini-football, and volleyball.
The Kazakhstan branch trade Union of power engineers was represented by the national team of JSC "Samruk-Energo"at the workers' sports Contest. It includes employees of such enterprises as JSC "Alatau Zharyk companyasy", LLP "Bogatyr Komir", JSC "Almaty electric stations", JSC "Moynakskaya HPP", JSC "Ekibastuzskaya GRES-2" and LLP "Ekibastuzskaya GRES-1 named after B. Nurzhanov".
They became the strongest in table tennis, volleyball, arm wrestling, and also won prizes in mini-football (II place), chess (II place), togyz kumalak (II place). The final games were exciting, bright and dramatic.
In the team competition, the Kazakhstan branch trade Union of power engineers won the first place and thus became the first champion of the Republican inter-industry workers ' sports Contest.
According to representatives of Federation of trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which organized sporting event, these games have become a pioneer created voluntary sports society of trade unions "Enbek".

Due to extreme weather conditions (-25 ° C), the organizers of the sports event, referring to international rules, decided to cancel the marathon race, leaving only three distances.
Winter running has its own characteristics and specifics, it is necessary to take into account the air temperature, wind strength, the presence of additional warm clothing, the condition of the coating-ice, snow, etc. 10 employees of the Corporate center of JSC "Samruk-Energo" went out to conquer distances of 5.10 and 21 km, seven of them were members of the running club "High voltage"(Hi Voltage) .
"We must pay tribute to our employees who regularly train at the High tension running club, as well as those who joined the training about a month ago — they overcame their distances well. The skills gained in practice, as well as the motivation from our coach, played a role. Was it supernatural? The motto of the Astana winter marathon was "Beyond the limits of possibility", I think that our employees have gained invaluable experience in overcoming their fears, expanded the boundaries of their capabilities, and made a step towards a better version of themselves", — comments Erken Akenev, Director Of the Department "Reorganization and sale of assets". Dauren Akshalov, head of Samruk-Energy's Compliance Service, recently moved from Almaty to the capital. Sports play a big role in his life, which led him to the running club "High tension": "Participation in the winter marathon in Astana was a challenge to my body, which I successfully coped with. Manager Of the Department of Purchasing and Inventory management Bibigul Musina started training at the High voltage club a month and a half ago and decided to enter the winter race at a distance of 5 km: "For the first time in my life, I participated in a running competition. I ran 5 kilometers with ease, thanks to regular classes with our favorite coach raiane Amangeldy, in a short time taught us the technique of running and how to enjoy running, — Bibigul Musina shares her impressions of the competition. — We became more interested in this topic, read literature, and I once came across a quote from BIZ stone, which I now apply in practice : "for me, running is meditation. I run and turn in my head some question that does not give me peace. It's like the saying that the morning of the evening is "wiser", but for me "wiser" comes after a run. Chief Manager of the Department "Strategic planning and economic analysis" Oirat Makhmetov went to the start of the winter race with his mother and brother. Together they covered a distance of 10 km and thus once again confirmed the status of a "sports family".
Oirat himself is engaged in martial arts, he has a black belt in judo and a blue belt in Brazilian JIU-jitsu, and is an active member of the Samruk-Energo running club.
"We try to run regularly with our entire sports dynasty of Makhmetovs. There is nothing unusual in this, our mother's perseverance is extraordinary - on Saturday, she ran the planned daily 10 km, and then drenched herself with cold water in the cold-27°! The next day, she took part in the winter marathon. But if there was no marathon on Sunday, my mother would still run her 10 km! That's who we all should be equal", — says the Oirat Makhmetov.
The high voltage running club (Hi Voltage) was created in March 2018 by an initiative group of specialists for joint running classes. The employees were supported by the management of Samruk-Energy and the trade Union. As part of this project, about 20 employees of the Corporate center are engaged in sports, form new healthy habits, improve physical fitness, and strengthen good relationships with colleagues. Classes are conducted by a professional coach from the sports club "GO!Sport Travel». On average, participants cover about 10 km per training session.
"Our goals are to promote a healthy lifestyle, strive for good physical shape and strengthen corporate spirit among our employees. We will continue to participate in sports events and promote sports!", said Erken Akenev.
This year, power engineers from the BC "High voltage / Hi Voltage" took part in the Almaty Marathon 2018, Astana Marathon 2018, BI Marathon 2018, Almaty half Marathon 2018. Astana Winter Marathon 2018 was a good end to the running season in the outgoing year.

Энергетика пронизывает всю мою жизнь. Еще в детстве я часто бывал на работе у мамы, слышал диковинные слова котлы, деаэйраторы, лаборатория, анализы, регенерация и т.д. Мама работала на котельной «Вокзальная» лаборантом ХВО, папа работал начальником участка тепловых сетей. Так как котельная была недалеко от нашего дома, а мама работала по сменам, мы с папой часто приходили к ней на работу, помогали делать регенерацию фильтров (там надо было таскать тяжелую соль).
В конце 70 годов отцу предложили возглавить пусковую котельную для ТЭЦ-2. Котельная была устроена на железнодорожном ходу, я и сейчас помню, как мы провожали папу в командировку для получения и перегонки ее из России в район строительства ТЭЦ-2. После пуска станции папа возглавил ремонтно-строительный цех ТЭЦ-2, мы получили новую квартиру в тэцовском доме в микрорайоне Тастак.

After graduating from technical school, he got a job in the turbine shop of CHPP-2. My first mentors were the Tyutebaev Serik Suinbekovich, Besenbek abenovich of Sabankulov. It was an interesting time when theoretical knowledge becomes practical skills. Mentors in the workplace were such wonderful people like Pavel Belousov, Alexander Chuchalin, Tolkyn and Erken Ahmadeeva, Otemis of Sabankulov, Murat Makeyev, rope Zhakayev. I am grateful to the people who taught me. Watch " B " is still in my memory, since we spent half our lives at work.

By 2020, the capacity of the Shardara HPP in the Turkestan region will increase by 26%. As part of a large-scale modernization, the station plans to update 4 hydroelectric units, the first of them has already been launched. The new equipment will increase the volume of electricity generation.
Shardarinskaya HPP appeared in 1967, but since then there have been no global changes. 4 hydroelectric units that generate electricity at the station were put into operation half a century ago, although their standard service life is only 25 years. To correct the situation, a project was developed to modernize the hydroelectric power station.
Bakytbek Zhanabayev, Chairman of the HPP Board:
- The capacity of the Shardara hydroelectric power station is 100 megawatts. After the upgrade, the capacity will be increased to 126 megawatts. Shardarinskaya HPP has 4 hydroelectric units of 25 megawatts, and after modernization, each unit will generate 31.5 megawatts of electricity.
By the end of December, the station will launch a new hydroelectric unit, after which work will begin on installing the next one. Complete replacement of the old equipment will be completed in a year.

The second electric unit is in the process of main installation. The starter is mounted, and the router will be mounted in the near future. I think that in the next month and a half we will reach the finish line on the second unit.
The new equipment will increase the service life of the hydroelectric power plant to 40 years and reduce the accident rate. According to experts, the HPP is of great importance for providing electricity to the Turkestan region and improving the efficiency of water resources use in the region.

The company produces open-pit coal in two sections — Bogatyr and Severny in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. The balance reserves of Bogatyr Komir LLP are 2.75 billion tons. The production capacity of the enterprise is 42 million tons of coal per year, including 32 million tons for the Bogatyr section and 10 million tons for the Severny section.
