On January 17, 2024, in anticipation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's visit to Italy, a meeting convened involving Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Energy” JSC, Fabrizio Fabbri, General Director of Ansaldo Energia S.p.A, and executives from Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
On January 18, 2024, on the sidelines of the Kazakh-Italian round table, with the participation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a Cooperation Agreement was formally executed between “Samruk-Energy” JSC and Ansaldo Energia. This agreement operates within the framework of energy projects, notably the "Reconstruction of Almaty CHP-3" featuring a CCGT unit with a capacity of up to 450 MW. The envisioned reconstruction of Almaty CHP-3 involves the establishment of a new power plant, offering significantly increased power capacity and operational flexibility. The executed document solidifies the unequivocal commitment of both parties to fortify a mutually beneficial partnership for the successful implementation of existing and potential projects.
The agreement encompasses collaborative efforts in energy project implementation, entailing coordinated actions for timely initiation, including equipment supply, maintenance organization, and service provision. Under the ratified agreement, Ansaldo Energia is committed to sharing its extensive experience in energy project implementation and fostering the exchange of knowledge, along with advanced training for local personnel.
Ansaldo Energia stands at the forefront of the international energy generation equipment market, employing an integrated model spanning power plant construction, production, service, and energy equipment supply. Notably, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti holds an 88% stake in Ansaldo Energia.
