For over 40 years of service and dedication to the profession, distinguished power engineers have retired from Almaty Power Plants.

Gaziy Ismukhambetov, Isakhan Syrgabaev, Vladimir Shmelev, and Renat Zhanguttin began their careers at Almaty CHP-2 and CHP-1 and became symbols of dedication and professionalism in the energy sector.

Energy sector veterans shared memories of their career paths. Working in the energy sector was not just a profession for them but a way of life.

Ismukhambetov Gaziy Zhumabayevich began his career at Almaty CHP-2 in 1986. Here, he climbed the career ladder from a duty electrician to a shift chief at the station. From 2002 to 2007, Gaziy Zhumabayevich worked in the central dispatch service of JSC "APK". Then he worked as deputy chief engineer, production manager - chief engineer, deputy chairman of the board for production of  “Almaty Power Plants” JSC ("APP").

Syrgabaev Isakhan Aktanovich started his career at CHP-2, where he worked as a boiler workshop fitter. He progressed from a mill operator to a deputy head of the boiler workshop. He was the chief engineer of Almaty CHP-2. He worked as Managing Director of CHP-1 and Managing Director of WHC.

Shmelev Vladimir Georgievich started as an electrician at CHP-1. He was a senior shift chief at the station, head of the boiler workshop, deputy chief engineer at CHP-1. He worked as head of the department of technical research and analysis of "APK” JSC, operation and repair management. Since 2013, he held the position of deputy chief engineer of "APP" JSC.

Zhanguttin Renat Naumkhanovich worked as an electrician at Almaty CHP-2 after graduating from Almaty Power Engineering Institute. Then he became the head of shift of the electric workshop, of the station, and the chief dispatcher of the Central Dispatching Service "APK" JSC. Since 2008, Renat Naumkhanovich has been a department head.

At the solemn ceremony, colleagues and executives expressed gratitude to the veterans for their invaluable contribution to the development of Almaty Power Plants and the country's energy sector as a whole.
