The strategic session on occupational safety culture was inaugurated by the Managing Director for Corporate Governance, Social and Labor Relations, and Occupational Safety at Samruk-Kazyna, Gibrat Auganov. In his opening speech, he highlighted that the event aims to draw special attention to workplace safety issues and increase the responsibility of executives.
"We must achieve the highest quality improvements in occupational safety. I hope this strategic session will be beneficial for the participants, and through our joint efforts, we can reduce workplace accidents to zero", said Gibrat Auganov.
Samruk-Energy’s Chairman of the Board, Kairat Maxutov, welcomed the participants of the strategic session, emphasizing that workplace safety is paramount and it is important to adhere to the principles of Vision Zero.
"Our primary task is to make occupational safety the number one priority and become leaders in achieving it. During the session, we will work on creating our common vision of a safety culture. We must have a clear idea of how we want to see our company in terms of occupational safety in the coming years", stressed Kairat Maxutov.
The strategic session will last for two days. During the event, participants will learn about best global practices in ensuring occupational safety, discuss issues related to building an effective safety culture, and involve management and employees in the process of change.
