Yedil Kopenov was appointed Director General of “AlmatyEnergoSbyt” LLP by the resolution of “Samruk-Energy” JSC Board of Directors.
Kopenov Yedil Kudaibergenovich was born in 1970 in Almaty region.
He graduated from the Kazakh Pedagogical University named after Abay in 1994 with a major in History, in 2002 the University named after D.A. Kunaev with major in "Finance and Credit" and in 2011 Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin with a major in Electrical Engineering.
He began his career in 1992 as a manager of commercial department, then as a commercial director at “Aziyatorgservis” company.
Over the years, he has held executive positions in power supply, power grid and energy-producing organizations: “Taldykorgan RES” OJSC, “Ushtobe RES” JSC, “Taldykorgan Joint-Stock Transport Power Grid Company” JSC, “Astanaenergosbyt” LLP, “SevKazEnergo Petropavlovsk” LLP, “Severo- Kazakhstan Energy Center" LLP, "Akmola Distribution Power Grid Company" JSC, "Akmola Distribution Power Grid Company" JSC, "SEVKAZENERGO" JSC, "Astana-ERC" LLP,
From 2016 to 2021 – the Chairman of the Executive Board at Kazakhstan Electricity and Capacity Market Operator (KEPMO) JSC, after he held the position of the Managing Director for Business Transformation, Member of the Management Board of “Samruk-Energy” JSC.
Last position: Director General of “Ekibastuz SDPP-1named after Bulat Nurzhanov” LLP.
