Almaty Power Plants (APP) and Satbayev University have entered into a memorandum to collaboratively train engineering and technical personnel essential for production sites. This agreement underscores their commitment to integrating education, science, and business. The focus is on enhancing partnership to advance the educational and scientific community while jointly designing educational programs, facilitating internships, and granting preferential hiring rights for “APP” JSC to university graduates.
Erik Mashirov, Chairman of the Board at “APP” JSC, highlighted the significance of nurturing well-prepared youth for the energy sector. This entails aligning university education with industry specifics, prompting a revamp in training approaches at APP to accommodate both generational shifts and modernization plans.

The university pledges to furnish research labs and offer training assistance, tailoring programs to APP's needs. This includes flexible master's and doctoral programs that sync with production schedules, along with distance learning options for staff convenience. Additionally, the university management proposed jointly developing an online course on production processes, catering to specialized department students.
