A delegation from Samruk-Energy, led by Kairat Maxutov, visited the construction site in the Sairam district of Turkestan Region, where a 1000 MW power plant using combined cycle gas turbine technology is being built.
Askar Kusainov, the head of "CCGT Turkestan" LLP presented a report on the work completed and the plans for 2024. Currently, construction is on schedule, with around 300 workers mobilized on-site. In 2025, the workforce is expected to increase to 2500.
