A meeting took place in Kokshetau, attended by Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of "Samruk-Energy" JSC, Marat Akhmetzhanov, Mayor of the Akmola region, and Maksim Sergeev, General Director of "Inter RAO-Export" LLC.
The meeting focused on discussing the progress of the "Construction of the Kokshetau CHP" project. Key topics included the station’s design, work plans for 2024, and the construction of the supporting infrastructure for the CHP.
Kairat Maxutov provided updates on the contract signed in August 2024 for the development of design and estimate documentation, as well as on the preparatory work that has already commenced at the construction site. Maksim Sergeev, in turn, shared details regarding equipment delivery and financing arrangements.
Following the meeting, the Mayor of Akmola region issued a number of instructions to relevant regional departments and subordinate organizations to supply all necessary baseline data for the design process and to align the construction schedule of external infrastructure with that of the CHP.
