In line with the decree from Almaty city Akimat, the local governing authority, the 2024-2025 heating season, spanning 189 days, has officially concluded.
Throughout this period, Almaty Power Plants JSC (APP) ensured a consistent and uninterrupted supply of heat and electricity to customers in Almaty and the surrounding region.
From 2024 to 2025, APP generated 2.9 billion kWh of electricity and 4.8 million Gcal of thermal energy, fully meeting all contractual obligations.
“Reliability during the heating season is our top priority. Thanks to our team’s coordinated efforts and thorough preparation, we delivered a successful season, ensuring comfort for residents,” said Yerik Mashirov, Chairman of the Management Board of APP JSC.
With the heating season complete, APP has kicked off its planned maintenance campaign. This includes upgrades to core and supporting equipment across its facilities: B. Orazbayev CHP-1, A. Zhakutov CHP-2, CHP-3, the Western Heat Complex, Sh. Chokin Kapshagay HPP, and the Cascade HPP. These improvements will strengthen system performance for the next autumn-winter period.
A subsidiary of Samruk-Energy JSC, APP remains a cornerstone of regional energy stability, combining state-of-the-art technology with decades of expertise to deliver vital services.
