Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, Kairat Maxutov, met with Mr. Yin Wenyu, General Manager of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division. The meeting focused on exploring potential cooperation in the construction of power generation facilities in Kazakhstan.
Mr. Yin Wenyu confirmed the company’s interest in participating in renewable energy and thermal power plant projects in Kazakhstan. Both parties also expressed their willingness to exchange technical and project-related information.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and commence detailed discussions on potential areas of collaboration.
China Construction Eighth Engineering Division is a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), the world’s largest investment and construction group, which operates under the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. The company has delivered over 180 projects across 43 countries and regions. In the energy sector, it has implemented more than 100 projects in China, including solar and wind power plants, hydropower stations, and power grid modernization—some of which are located in Central Asia.
In Kazakhstan, the company has participated in a land remediation project in Karaganda and was involved in the construction of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
