A meeting was held between Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, and Mr. Li Chao, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Harbin Electric International Co., Ltd.
Following the talks, the parties discussed the status of current projects and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at implementing joint initiatives in the energy sector.
The Memorandum covers areas such as the modernization of energy infrastructure, the development of renewable energy sources, and the deployment of innovative technologies.
Particular attention was given to establishing a joint expert group to explore collaboration in advanced areas, including clean coal technologies, carbon capture, hydrogen energy, and smart energy solutions.
Kairat Maxutov emphasized that the partnership with Harbin Electric opens up new opportunities for domestic enterprises and promotes the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across Kazakhstan’s power industry.
The signing of this Memorandum with such a leading global player as Harbin Electric represents an important step in advancing the energy sector and further strengthening the strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.
