Samruk-Energy strengthens support for domestic manufacturers

Askar Baltabayev, Managing Director for Procurement and Risks at Samruk-Energy JSC, held a review meeting to assess the procurement performance of the group’s subsidiaries and affiliates over the first ten months of the year.

The discussion focused on key procurement metrics, including the achievement of the annual plan, engagement with domestic manufacturers, the share of local content, and the efficiency of procurement activities. Special attention was given to advancing import substitution and expanding the use of offtake contracts as an effective tool to support national producers.

In 2025, the Samruk-Energy group expects to sign contracts for goods worth KZT 199.5 billion, with local content accounting for 74% of the total. These figures demonstrate steady progress in increasing the participation of domestic companies in procurement processes.

Following the meeting, subsidiaries and affiliates were instructed to ensure full compliance with Samruk-Kazyna JSC’s procurement regulations, prioritize domestic manufacturers in procurement activities, and continue efforts to increase the share of local content.

Samruk-Energy remains committed to supporting domestic manufacturers, enhancing procurement transparency, and developing a sustainable supply chain in the energy sector.
