Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna, together with Berik Uali, Mayor of Abai region, and Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy, held a meeting to discuss the performance of the Group’s energy companies and the implementation of investment projects.
During the meeting, reports were presented by the management of the Shulbinsk and Ust-Kamenogorsk hydropower plants.
The participants also discussed how the plants are operating during the flood season and the measures being taken to ensure stable and reliable performance.
A separate update on major projects was delivered by Ansar Aidarov, Chief Investment Officer of Samruk-Energy. The discussion focused on the construction of the Semey hydropower plant and the second phase of the Shulbinsk plant.
Following the meeting, Nurlan Zhakupov and Berik Uali instructed the Fund’s portfolio companies and Abai region Akimat to strengthen coordination and accelerate the implementation of investment projects in the region.
