The Compliance service in Samruk-Energy JSC (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company') was established as part of initiatives, measures and actions taken by the General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board of Directors and the Management Board of the Company to:
- ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best international practices including anti-corruption issues;
- establish the Company's internal corporate culture, which ensures transparency and honesty among all employees and creates conditions for making business in accordance with the best international standards, internal policies and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
The Compliance service operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Labour Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Charter, the Collective Agreement, the Code of Conduct, the Corporate Governance Code, the Regulation on the Compliance service of Samruk-Energy, and other internal documents of the Company.
The Compliance service is accountable to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors of the Company, is independent from the Management Board of the Company and has powers and resources necessary for performance of his/her duties.
By the decision of the Board of Directors of the Company dated July 28, 2022, Zhogibayev Zhaksylyk was appointed Head of the Compliance service Samruk-Energy JSC.
