"Samruk-Energy" JSC successfully underwent its initial certification audit for compliance with the requirements of five international standards.
The corporate governance system of "Samruk-Energy" JSC has been certified by meeting the criteria of the following international standards:
- ISO 9001 "Quality Management Systems";
- ISO 45001 "Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems";
- ISO 50001 "Energy Management Systems";
- ISO 14001 "Environmental Management Systems";
- ISO 37001 "Anti-Bribery Management Systems".
This marks one of the initial instances of group certification within the energy sector across these five international standards.
The certification audit was conducted by the independent international conformity assessment body, MS Certification Services, with the participation of world-class auditors, led by Mr. A.K. Garg.
The audit encompassed the assets of the company group, including: "Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after B. Nurzhanov" LLP, "Ekibastuz SDPP-2 Plant" JSC, "Almaty Power Plants" JSC, "Moynak HPP" JSC, "Samruk Green Energy" LLP, "Alatau Zharyk Company" JSC, "AlmatyEnergoSbyt" LLP , "Shardarinsk HPP" JSC, "First Wind Power Plant" LLP, and "Samruk-Energy" JSC’s head office.
The corporate governance system was implemented to facilitate effective and transparent management of "Samruk-Energy" JSC company group's operations. It aligns with the concept of sustainable development and encompasses interconnected domains, such as quality management, health and safety at work, environmental protection, energy efficiency, anti-corruption, and fraud prevention.
Collectively, these efforts will ultimately elevate the functioning of the unified corporate governance system to a higher quality level, while also enhancing the operational efficiency of the companies.
“Samruk-Energy” JSC is the largest power holding company in Kazakhstan, with 100% of its shares owned by "Sovereign Wealth Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" JSC.
