"Samruk-Energy" JSC saw a 14% increase in electricity production in the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
The total electricity production for the first six months of this year amounted to 20,457,793 MWh. This increase was driven by higher production from Ekibastuz SDPP-1, APP, Moynak, Shardara, Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Shulbinsk hydropower plants, as well as from Energia Semirechya and Samruk-Green Energy.
There was also an increase in the volume of electricity sales by the supply company and electricity transmission by the grid company. These volumes reached 4,044,308 MWh and 4,527,761 MWh, respectively, reflecting an 11% and 3% increase compared to the same period last year. This is attributed to a higher influx of new consumers into the energy supply organization since April 1, as well as increased electricity consumption in the region.
Heat energy supply in the first half of 2024 amounted to 3,285.6 thousand Gcal against a plan of 3,214.7 thousand Gcal, achieving 102% of the plan.
