"Samruk-Energy" JSC has secured the top position in PwC Kazakhstan's ESG Disclosure Rating for 2023, outperforming 98 Kazakhstani companies. For the first time in the history of the rating, the company was awarded the record-breaking highest grade, "A+," which aligns with the best international standards.
The rating, based on 148 criteria, evaluates the quality of information disclosure across five key areas: sustainable development strategy, corporate governance, society, environment, and reporting practices. Additional points are granted for clarity, timeliness, and the quality of information presentation.
Samruk-Energy also won in the following additional rating categories:
- Best corporate governance disclosure;
- Best sustainable development strategy disclosure;
- Best ESG information disclosure in the energy sector.
This recognition reflects the company's efforts to enhance transparency and improve the quality of disclosures in environmental, social, and corporate governance areas.
