According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics, Kazakhstan's coal industry is demonstrating steady growth. From January to March 2025, the country produced 28.5 million tons of hard coal — an increase of 5.6% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Bogatyr Komir LLP has made a significant contribution to this positive trend. In the first quarter of 2025, the company boosted its coal output to 12.4 million tons, marking a 6.8% increase year-on-year.
Coal sales volumes also saw an upward trend: over the three-month period, 12.4 million tons were shipped, which is 2.8% higher than in Q1 2024. Of this total, 9.9 million tons were supplied to the domestic market, while 2.5 million tons were exported.
