Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy, visited the company’s energy facilities located in Pavlodar region, including Bogatyr Komir, Ekibastuz SDPP-1, and SDPP-2.
At Bogatyr Komir LLP, the head of Samruk-Energy reviewed the company’s production and financial performance for the first five months of the year. Kairat Rgaibek, General Director of the subsidiary, presented a comprehensive development plan to increase coal production capacity from 42 to 58 million tons per year, along with the current status of the сyclic-and-continuous overburden removal complex (ССORC)
At Ekibastuz SDPP-2, Kairat Maxutov chaired a meeting on the plant’s operational performance, the progress of the maintenance campaign in preparation for the autumn-winter period, and the implementation of the investment project "Expansion and reconstruction of SDPP-2 with installation of units 3 and 4".
The next facility visited was Ekibastuz SDPP-1 named after B. Nurzhanov. General Director Asan Naurzgaliev reported on the ongoing repair works and preparations for the heating season. Kairat Maxutov inspected the construction site of a new flue gas stack, for which design and estimate documentation is currently under development. Construction is scheduled to begin before the end of the year. He also reviewed progress on the construction of the third fuel supply line and instructed the team to maintain the pace of implementation.
Following the visit, a number of instructions were issued to the senior management of the facilities. Particular focus was placed on the timelines and quality of the repair campaign ahead of the upcoming heating season, and on measures to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power stations.
As part of his visit to Ekibastuz, Kairat Maxutov also met with the mayor of the city, Ayan Beisekin. The meeting addressed the progress of preparations for the autumn-winter season and presented Samruk-Energy’s social projects currently being implemented in the Ekibastuz region.
