Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC Kairat Maxutov and Managing Director of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Yelzhas Otynshiyev held a meeting with Vice President of China Huadian Corporation, Mr. Wu Jinkai.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation and explored opportunities for implementing joint infrastructure and investment projects. Mr. Wu Jinkai expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation in the energy sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan and proposed broadening the list of potential areas for joint study.
Kairat Maxutov reaffirmed Samruk-Energy’s interest in developing cooperation in the areas of hydropower plant construction, scientific and technical collaboration, promotion of innovative energy storage technologies, artificial intelligence applications, digitalization, as well as knowledge exchange and professional training programs at each party’s facilities.
In turn, Yelzhas Otynshiyev told about the Fund’s readiness to provide the necessary support from Samruk-Kazyna JSC to facilitate the achievement of the cooperation goals between the two energy holdings.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to prepare an expanded list of cooperation areas with detailed step-by-step plans and to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation by the end of 2025.
