Askar Baltabayev, Managing Director of Procurement and Risk at Samruk-Energy JSC, visited the liquid caustic soda production facility operated by LLP Hydrox.
During the visit, he was introduced to the technological processes and the product quality control system, and assessed the plant’s readiness to supply major industrial consumers in the energy sector.
Caustic soda is a key reagent widely used in water treatment systems at energy facilities. The water used in boilers and steam generators must meet strict chemical composition requirements.
Using high-quality caustic soda allows for effective pH regulation, neutralization of acidic impurities, and maintenance of stable chemical conditions, which forms the foundation for reliable and safe operation of energy assets.
During the visit, particular attention was given to product quality consistency, adherence to technological parameters, and ensuring uninterrupted supply.
Measures supporting domestic producers under the current procurement system of Samruk-Kazyna JSC were also explained.
Developing local production of chemical reagents is a crucial factor in enhancing the resilience and technological independence of Kazakhstan’s energy sector.
