Safety as a unified standard: APP summarizes regional forum outcomes

Almaty Power Plants JSC (APP) hosted a regional Industrial Safety Forum, bringing together energy companies, government representatives, and industry experts. The event served as a platform for open dialogue and the exchange of best practices.

Opening the Forum, Chairman of the Management Board of APP, Yerik Mashirov, emphasized that protecting the life and health of employees remains a top priority, and that safety is an integral part of all operational processes.

The Forum featured an engaging and substantive discussion, with participants reviewing real-life cases and sharing practical approaches to implementing the Vision Zero concept (zero harm).

“Today, it is not enough to simply comply with requirements; it is essential to foster a safety culture at all levels — from senior management to frontline personnel”-,  said Duisenbek Shardarbekov, Director of Occupational Health and Safety at Samruk-Energy JSC.

The Forum reaffirmed that safety in the energy sector is the result of a systematic approach that brings together accountability, experience, and modern practices.
