At the initiative of the Security Department of Samruk-Energy JSC, a meeting was held at APP site to address issues related to the anti-terrorism protection, physical security, and information security of energy infrastructure facilities.
The event brought together heads of security divisions from Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Samruk-Energy JSC, and its subsidiary organizations, information security specialists, as well as representatives of government agencies and industry associations.
During the meeting, participants discussed the implementation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in anti-terrorism protection of critical infrastructure, compliance with corporate information security standards, and the development of unified approaches to protecting energy infrastructure from emerging threats, including risks associated with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Particular attention was given to prospects for introducing unified cybersecurity approaches for industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA systems, and automated systems for commercial electricity metering (AMR) across the Group’s facilities.
In addition, Ekiibastuz SDPP-1 LLP presented standard designs for modern security posts and checkpoint facilities aimed at establishing unified corporate security standards across Samruk-Energy production assets.
As part of the event, held on the initiative of the KAZENERGY Association, participants were also introduced to advanced domestic solutions for the detection and countermeasures against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They learned about Kazakhstan-developed hardware and software complex already deployed in several government agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
