The Compliance Service of Samruk-Energy JSC delivered a training session at the Company for employees of Samruk-Energy JSC, Kokshetau CHP LLP and Energy Solutions Center LLP. The session focused on changes to the anti-corruption legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan that will come into effect in 2026–2027.
The session covered the key provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 12, 2026. The new legislation shifts the focus from responding to violations to preventing them. The discussion covered the concepts of personal interest and an expanded definition of related persons, as well as the procedures and deadlines for managing conflicts of interest. The participants were also briefed on a unified procedure for surrendering gifts received in connection with the performance of official duties. Employees were introduced to a digital HR system for checking relationships and affiliations, which will go live on January 1, 2027.
The Compliance Service emphasized that timely disclosure of a personal interest does not constitute a violation; liability arises where such circumstances are concealed. Employees were advised to contact the Compliance Service in advance for clarification if they have any questions.
