At the Kazakhstan–China Investment Forum, Samruk-Energy JSC, China Energy Overseas Investment Company Limited and Sany Renewable Energy Company Limited signed an agreement on the joint development of a project to build wind power plants with a total capacity of 1 GW in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The agreement was signed by Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC; Li Yahong, Vice President of China Energy Overseas Investment Company Limited; and Tang Chao, Deputy General Manager of Sany Renewable Energy Company Limited.
The project will increase electricity generation from renewable energy sources, improve the reliability of electricity supply to the southern regions of the country and contribute to achieving Kazakhstan’s national carbon neutrality goals.
