"Samruk-Energy" JSC employees played an active role in the republican environmental campaign “Clean Kazakhstan”

The team from Samruk-Energy, along with colleagues from “Samruk-Kazyna" JSC and other portfolio companies, conducted a clean-up in the territory of Presidential park.

Company employees cleared the park of litter and dry leaves, thereby contributing to the beautification of the capital.

 

 

Chairman of Samruk-Energy holds field meeting at APP

A field meeting was held at “APP” JSC under the chairmanship of Kairat Maxutov, “Samruk-Energy” JSC Chairman of the Board.

The meeting featured a presentation on the current progress of investment projects at APP. Discussions centered on the plans for financing and carrying out the "Modernization of ACHP-2" and "Reconstruction of ACHP-3" projects, as part of the adjustments to the 2024-2028 Business Plan. Moreover, plans for upcoming activities related to the renovation and construction of hydroelectric power plants were examined.

After the meeting, clear directives were issued to address necessary adjustments for project implementation and to update the project Roadmaps.

 

 

Alatau Zharyk Company, Ekibastuz SDPP-2, APP and Samruk-Energy's youth council provide aid to flood-affected regions

Employees of "Alatau Zharyk Company" JSC made a voluntary decision to assist flood-affected regions by donating a day's salary. They donated 29.4 million tenge to the Public Fund "Қазақстан халқына" (meaning "to the Kazakh nation" in Kazakh).

Workers from Ekibastuz SDPP-2 collaborated with Solnechny city residents to gather funds and dispatched humanitarian aid to Atyrau and Uralsk cities. The station's team also sent essential items to Atbasar city residents and set up a collection point for the affected.

Samruk-Energy's youth council demonstrated solidarity by organizing fundraisers. They sent sacks for reinforcing shorelines to Atyrau and West Kazakhstan regions. "APP" JSC supplied a vehicle for transporting the supplies, and the company's youth assisted in loading the aid.

 

 

Safety awareness month is underway at “Samruk-Energy” JSC group of companies

The initiative is dedicated to the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. To mark the occasion, all subsidiary companies are conducting seminars, safety training sessions, and courses on occupational safety regulations and first aid.

Furthermore, various competitions are being organized among structural units of subsidiaries and affiliates, including "Best Team in an Intellectual Competition" "Best Team in Sports-Tactical Competitions" and "Best GIF Design and Video".  Alongside these events, "Open Days," children's competitions, and quizzes on occupational safety are also taking place.

At the conclusion of the competitions, the winners and distinguished employees of SA will be awarded with certificates of honor, letters of appreciation, and monetary bonuses.

 

 

"Vitamin Day" held at Samruk-Energy

Swapping harmful habits for beneficial vitamins! Under this motto, the youth council "Jas Energy" organized the "Vitamin Day" event today. The initiative was aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among colleagues.

Employees of Samruk-Energy, upon arriving at work, began their day in a warm atmosphere with morning exercises and vitamins.

The youthful spirit of the team made the start of the workday both enjoyable and uplifting for the entire staff. Employees kicked off their morning with a boost of energy and positivity!

 

 

 

Moynak, Shardara, and Shulbinsk HPPs send food and essential supplies to flood-affected areas

Subsidiaries of Samruk-Energy continue to provide assistance to residents affected by recent floods.

Employees of the U.D. Kantayev Moynak HPP organized and delivered humanitarian aid to the residents of Uralsk city, which suffered from the floods. The people facing challenging circumstances received drinking water, food, hygiene products, bedding, and other essential household items.

The team at Shardara HPP sent food supplies to those affected by the natural disaster, including flour, sugar, cereals, vegetables, and other food items. Hygiene products and materials needed for shoreline strengthening work were also dispatched.

Employees of Shulbinsk HPP expressed their support and conducted fundraising efforts. Each staff member contributed to aid the affected population. Financial assistance was sent to the Public Foundation "Biz Birgemiz Qazaqstan”

 

 

 

 

Samruk-Green Energy and AlmatyEnergoSbyt provide humanitarian aid to flood-affected areas

Subsidiaries of “Samruk-Energy” JSC continue to assist residents of regions affected by recent floods

Samruk-Green Energy, with the collective efforts of its employees, has sent humanitarian aid to those affected by the natural disaster. The company's team gathered essential items including shovels, buckets, sandbags, rubber boots, a generator, water pumps, and other necessary supplies.

The team at AlmatyEnergoSbyt voluntarily raised over 4 million tenge to aid residents of the Atyrau region and to purchase materials needed for shoreline reinforcement work. The funds have been sent to the Corporate Social Development Fund "Atyrau"

 

 

 

 

Samruk-Energy head joins signing of Inter-Governmental Agreement for coal-fired power plants

Kairat Maxutov, Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Energy” JSC, participated in the signing ceremony for an agreement between the Ministries of Energy of Kazakhstan and Russia. This agreement focuses on collaborative construction projects for thermal power plants in Kokshetau, Semey, and Ust-Kamenogorsk. The Ministers of Energy from both countries, Almassadam Satkaliyev of Kazakhstan and Nikolay Shulginov of Russia, signed the agreement via video conference.

The agreement outlines key responsibilities, project stages, environmental emission standards for the new plants, and financing terms.

Almassadam Satkaliyev, Kazakhstan's Minister of Energy, emphasized, "Developing three new TPPs  in regional centers Semey, Kokshetau, and Ust-Kamenogorsk, given our substantial coal reserves, will significantly boost their development."

“Samruk-Energy” JSC and “INTER RAO – Export” LLC have been tasked with overseeing the projects on behalf of their respective countries.

Previously, on November 9, 2023, during a meeting between the Kazakhstani and Russian Heads of State, a memorandum was signed to form a working group. This group was established to craft a detailed roadmap and set the primary conditions for project execution.

Currently, the working group has completed an in-depth analysis of the legal, technical, and financial aspects of the TPP construction.

 

 

 

 

APP: successful conclusion of the 2023-2024 heating season

In accordance with the decree of the Almaty city administration, the heating season 2023-2024 in Almaty concluded on April 15.

The heating season overall went smoothly, as evidenced by the uninterrupted supply of heat and electricity to the city and the Almaty region's consumers. During this period, Almaty power plants generated 2.9 billion kWh of electricity and 4.6 million Gcal of heat, all contractual commitments to consumers were met", - highlighted Yerik Mashirov, Chairman of the Board of “APP” JSC.

Almaty Power Plants, APP is the primary energy source for Almaty city and Almaty region, providing approximately 76% of the heat for the centralized heating zone and 60% of electricity. The company comprises three CHP, the Western thermal complex, Kapshagay HPP, HPP cascade, Production and repair enterprise "EnergoRemont", and FRUC.

In April, in line with plans, “APP” JSC commences the maintenance campaign on the main and auxiliary equipment for energy sources.

 

 

 

HR Specialists from Samruk-Energy Group discuss current issues and solutions

Discussing ways to enhance corporate culture, maintain team social stability, promote inclusivity, ensure gender equality, and foster collaboration across the group of companies were some of the key topics covered at the annual reporting meeting by HR directors and specialists of Samruk-Energy group of companies.

The meeting was hosted by the Human Resources Management Department of “Samruk-Energy” JSC. Over 50 employees from its subsidiaries and representatives from the Center for Social Interaction and Communications participated.

The meeting aimed to address current challenges, improve inter-company communication efficiency, and share HR-related experiences and practices. Plans for future actions were also outlined, aligning with Samruk-Energy's personnel policy goals and priorities.

It's worth mentioning that in September 2023, “Samruk-Energy” JSC updated its Personnel Policy, setting new priorities for human resource development and employee training.

Askar Baltabaev elected to “Samruk-Energy” JSC Board of Directors

According to a decision from the Board of Directors dated 12.04.24, Askar Baltabaev, who serves as the Managing Director for Procurement and Risks, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of “Samruk-Energy” JSC. Baltabaev Askar Kuatbaevich was born on September 16, 1979.

Education: Holds degrees in both law and economics.

From 2001 to 2012, he held various managerial positions in internal affairs and financial police departments.

From 2012 to 2018, he served as the Chief Manager, Director of the Procurement Department, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board, and Managing Director for Commercial Affairs at “Samruk-Energy” JSC.

From 2018 to 2023, he worked in the construction sector and led private companies.

Since July 2023, he has held the position of Managing Director for Procurement and Risks at “Samruk-Energy” JSC.
